how often should you treat your habanero plants when flowering with miracle grow water soluble plant food?
Hi I recently have grown red savina habaneros now the are about flower the buds are starting to appear but the flower have not appeared yet. I grow my chili plants indoors in Grow Room with led grow lights. I been treating the chili plants with miracle grow all purpose water soluble fertilizer every 2 to 3 weeks. Now I would like my plant to produce larger chili fruit, but I would like to know do you need to avoid fertilizer when the buds are appearing or when the flowers have appeared. Can you also pollinate the flower with a moistened water color paint brush to the other flower centers to produce fruit. Will the fertlizer make your chill fruit larger and produce more peppers. please notify me thanks.
Thew fertilizer you are using contains a lot of nitrogen which promotes green growth but not flowers or fruit. I would just use plain water now. In order to produce larger fruit you would probably have to thin out the fruit on the plant once fruit appeared. You would probably get larger fruit at the expense of fewer fruit.
